Welcome

I have seen a lot of expired decks but this one was a doozy. Don’t wait until someone gets hurt . I’m actually very surprised nobody went through this deck or over the rails. See videos. This is the first project I completed on O’ahu and I was very pleased to be 100% by myself. After 6 months of building condos in Kauai with 22 guys working for me it was a pleasant change to work alone again.  This project started as a deck to replace the existing death trap. My estimate was a $1000 more than the competitors but I let John know that no one would build a nicer deck. As the project evolved he agreed and smiled and admitted I was correct. He even let on to the what the plans were from the other contractor to just sister on new joists to the existing rotted deck. He was a pleasure to work with and as we added a cover to the deck on a budget I came up with a solution for a cover that was about half price to a traditional roof with lighting, roofing, soffit’s and removal of the existing eve. It was a perfect compliment and keeps the space about 20 degrees cooler.
